Violetta Poletek, Violin/Maestra
Born Wioletta Maria Poletek in Lublin, Poland on November 7th, 1976, the third child of four siblings. She was raised under communist rule until the end of the cold war era. Then she broke free!
A family of classical musicians, her father (Stanislaw) a conductor for a Polish orchestra. A brother (Arek) plays First Violin for the Gdansk orchestra. A sister (Issabella) teaches classical piano for a university in Lublin.
Starting the violin at age 3, Violetta attended a Primary and Secondary music school in Lublin. While attending school, she performed throghout Europe with many orchestra’s. Violetta was hand chosen three times by Pope John Paul II to perfrom at the Vatican. She was selected at age 10, 13, and age 14 for special ceremonies and Christmas Mass.
She attended the Academy of Music College in Gadansk, Poland (1995-2000) and received her Masters degree as a concert violinist. While attending the Academy of Music, she toured in over 13 countries and was selected by Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra) and Art Garfunkel (Simon & Garfunkel) for recordings in Warsaw, Poland.
After graduation, she was hired by Carnival Cruise Lines as a concert violinist and performed in a classical trio. She met a Golf Professional that worked on the ship and was engaged to be married. Violetta and her husband were married on Oct 17, 2002 in Lynchburg, Virginia. She performed for the Lunchburg Orchestra until they decided on a permanent honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She has since been performing all over Los Cabos Mexico for weddings, cocktail parties, and special events.
